After Carrots at Sandy's

| This image was inspired one fall afternoon after feeding my mare Zo her carrots and watching her walk away to join the other horses in the field. The image was created using Photoshop 7 and Painter 8 using the new Painter 8 Digital Watercolor brush "Wash Brush". The image is 11x8 inches and printed on Hawk Mountain Art Papers "Premium" on an Epson 1160. |

Below is the composite I created in Photoshop from photographs I took. There are 5 parts to this composite. The left 3/4 of the image, the right 1/4 (the fenceline), a portion of the foreground grass, Zo and her shadow. |

Below is the sketch I created in Painter 8. I used the new Digital Watercolor brush "Wash Brush" in various sizes and opacities. I used the new "French Watercolor" paper texture while painting and then applied "Oatmeal" paper texture to the entire image as a last step. |
